Another Dream

Hey Team, You're in luck! Today you will receive another post. Kampai! This dream was dreamt two nights ago. This dream was a lot less exciting than the previously recorded one. Are you ready? Here we go. We can do it folks!

I was in a Japanese Safeway supermarket (the logo was still the same as the original but accompanied by Kana characters) that covered a massive area of land. There was a sea of neatly organized boxes which were stacked to the ceiling. The boxes varied in size yet they had a clear plastic screen on one of the bigger sides in order to reveal its contents. Each black box housed miniature (kid-sized) kitchen supplies made of Porcelain (It's weird that ceramic material is recurring; some boxes contained a small tea set, others held tiny frying pans, chopsticks with containers, cutlery sets etc. Both Bubsy and Bartie entered the scene and began helping me look for wasabi cookies. I doubt that there is such a thing as wasabi cookies but I think it made an appearance in the dream because Sarah and I were looking at wasabi peas at the supermarket the other day. What now strikes me as odd is that Bubsy was communicating with the employees at the supermarket in Japanese. Even though I could not translate what they were saying, I managed to understand the gist of their conversation. Unforutnately, I can't quite remember what the conversation was about. After following the kind woman's directions, we stumbled upon the wasabi cookies. The packaging did not look anything like the picture but you get the idea. Bubsy and Bartie were satisfied with their finding and decided to crack open a bag for a taste. After attempting one of the cookies, I couldn't stand the taste and left the two to finish the bag on their own. I began to wander through the Japanese Safeway and found myself at the front of the story at an abandoned customer service desk. S-Monster entered the dream and was glancing over the different types of Dorito chips that filled the shelves perpendicular and touching the cashier lines (Now that I think about it, there was no rational way to get to the cashiers for checkout). I told S-Monster that I didn't want to buy a bag of chips because they were too expensive. She decided to hop behind the customer service counter and found several returned products; one item was an opened bag of the Doritos chips - mystery flavored. Gosh, once we tried it, we were shocked that the chips had a stale texture of chewy cardboard! It tasted like plain corn chips too! "Nom! Nom!" Well ain't that just yummy?!
When I woke up the next morning there was a puddle of saliva on my bed. I must have been hungry after all. Arigato gozaimas! Good night folks.

Dreams part 1

I've been having dreams lately which is a pleasant surprise because it's been something that I have not experienced in a while. I am just putting a couple of them down on the page so I can remember them later on.

Yesterday:
Last night's dream involved a lady named Dia Frampton. In my dream, Dia's appearance was difference from her actual appearance yet it was still her. Her hair was styled very similarly yet differently from Sara Kiersten Quin; the front was short (like Sara) yet at the back it was kinda shaven and one of her sides was accompanied by a short padawan braid. Her nose was a bit slimmer and longer than her actual nose and her skin was a bit fairer than her actual skin. I bet you're thinking... "How can that be Dia Frampton when none of her physical characteristics are the same?" I really don't have an answer. But it was her; her voice was the same maybe?
Anyways, this is what I remember: My sister was much younger than me (6 or 7 maybe) yet I was still 21. I was inside my family room which was the same except that the four walls were expanded and the fireplace was just a brick wall. I was sitting down lying against the brick wall. My sister was beside me and Dia (who was also a bit younger @ 20 yrs) beside her; both of them were also sitting up against the large brick wall. I was talking to Dia while I observed my sister continually drop her head down nodding in and out of sleep. As my sister grew tired, I picked her up, moved her to my left side then she fell asleep on me. Now I was in the middle of the two girls. As our conversation continued, Dia also began to get sleepy and ended up sleeping on my shoulder. The next scene was still in the family room. The three of us were awake and facing my dad's fish tank which was relocated to where our stereo system is and expanded to fit a dogfish shark and small ocean animals. My dad was in the scene and was explaining the different ceramic decorations that lined the top of the tank. There were four large ceramic figures all slighty with the body like a piggy bank yet had the theme of a harbor. One was a fat seagull, th other a blow fish, the other a tugboat, and the last something lined with seaweed. Once again the scene shifted. This time it was in a townhouse that had a wooden interior. The sun shone beautifully through a small window which made you feel as though you were in a carpenter's workshop. I thought I was in this house by myself until I heard Dia's voice, conversing with two other women, coming from upstairs. Dia instructed me to not come upstairs so I entertained myself by fiddling with some wooded blocks on the table while waiting for someone to appear. I heard Meg Frampton's voice rushing down the stairs; this triggered a very uncomfortable tug of self-consciousness. For 3 seconds, I saw Meg Frampton walk passed me. She had a really beautiful Bob cut which bounced a bit as she entered the room and left into the garage. Then I woke up.

Was there a message behind this dream? I doubt it. But it was enjoyable none the less. Heading to the gym in the 1st time in about 2 months. I hope I survive.

A quick revision

I bumped into the "Dog" again today. He was looking quite obedient as usual. I wonder why the Dog is a vegetarian. I just had a scrumptious steak dinner yesterday; it's unfortunate that he's unable to experience such delicious murder. (In the picture, he is hanging his head in envy and shame) I started volunteering at an elementary school doing an after school program which has recently brought much joy and excitement to my life. For quite a while, life has felt like a dried up prune but this has placed the juices back in through finding something meaningful to do.

Here's the typical schedule: after school, we join the kids in the library to assist them with homework and play games with them (such as boggle or sticks or molding figures out of clay). It's been a few years since I've volunteered with kids and had totally forgotten how much fun I gained from interacting with them. The best portion of my day is spent going outside to play on the playground. I can't remember the playground being this enjoyable (i do have a terrible memory which my explain it) back in the day. Grounders is an awesome game but the kids have an upper hand because I barely know the arrangement of the playground. It's the best of times.

Here are a couple of new things that I've learned from working with these kids:

1. Sometimes children make unrealistically estimations with the material they have. Each group had around 4 soap bars worth of molding clay. With that amount of clay, they sincerely projected that they would be able to design an entire house with an attached garage and a car to go inside it. I told them that they didn't have enough clay for their project but they didn't believe me and they even showed me their estimated sizes (I actually laughed when they showed me that they wanted to make it the size of a small TV).

2. If a kid looks up to you, he/she will be more likely to imitate your actions. Last week, S-Monster brought rice crackers from the homeland. One boy said he didn't like it before he even tried it. I told him to give it a try and he took a small bite then spat it out. "It's terrible!" he responded. Once again that brought a smirk to my face. All he desired were slices of cheese. I like to try weird food mixes to I wrapped the slice of cheese around the rice cracker while eating it. The boy saw me do it and asked S-Monster for 1/2 a cracker to try out my combination. He ended up liking it and finished a good portion of the package. I asked him what changed his mind and he told me that it was not the same thing he tried earlier; the first one was burnt. That made me laugh once again because I ate the other half of his piece and it was quite dandy.

3. It seems that a lot kids have been bombarded and exposed a lot more to the world and the media. It's somewhat scary what they know at such a young age. It's unfortunate that they are pressed by negative influence and dirty thoughts at such a young age. Although this situation is not something to be rejoicing over, working with this kids gives me a great sense of purpose in guiding their upbringing. It's such an honour to be one of the positive influences in their lives. I'm sure that my other volunteer friend feels the same way. The succeeding generations do not have to continue morally regressing but a counter-culture can be sparked within these kids with a few positive role models in their lives. I've always thought of this regression and corruption as a concern in the back of my head but only now have I felt it change from "That's a good idea" to "I can actually do something to help form society."

I'm just kidding. We love you Scott
